My delightful child,

Remember when My Son called those who were weary to come to Him? Maybe you should reread it. Here’s it is in the Message Translation.

“Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.” – Matthew 11:28-30 (MSG)

You were not designed for toil. You were made to enjoy My rest!

This doesn’t mean that you aren’t supposed to work. It means that there’s a different approach to how you accomplish work. Everything you do, and I mean everything, is meant to be enjoyed. Not because in and of itself it is enjoyable but, because we are doing it together.

I am in the details of your life. I am with you, living in you, experiencing everything that you experience.

Living joyfully isn’t based on what you are doing. It’s based on your awareness of Me and My presence. Being with Me is what makes life fun. Trusting in Me is what makes life peaceful. Letting me work through you is what makes an adventure. Everywhere you go, I go. Everything you are involved in, I’m in involved in. There’s no where you can go that I am not already there.

Frustration, weariness, and fatigue are a result of the fall. If you find yourself experiencing them, it’s simply an indication that you have stopped abiding in Me.

In those moments, come to Me. Turn your attention to Me and breathe deeply of My presence. Release your thoughts to Me and allow My peace to settle your mind. Relax into Me and connect with My heart. As David so aptly wrote, “Be still, and know that I am God.”

Truthfully, it doesn’t matter what is going on around you. It doesn’t matter what you need to get done. What matters is that we are in it together.

My grace is truly sufficient for you. I have mountains and mountains of grace stored up for you. All you need to do is ask for My help. Say, “Father, I need grace right now. I need your help. I need you!” Those words are music to My ears. I love helping you. And, don’t get Me started on how much Holy Spirit loves to help. He loves it so much, we had to nickname Him, “The Helper.”

When things seem hard or too much for you to handle, this is where My abundant grace kicks in.

So, come to Me child. Turn your attention to Me child. Allow Me to do what only I can do. Put on your easy yoke, and let Me do the heavy lifting. Walk with Me and work with Me. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace.
