Fear is the arch enemy of faith. Like faith, it’s holds the power to shape our future. When we fear something, we actually put our faith in it. We magnify whatever we fear and cause it to seem bigger than God. This is why all throughout scripture, God tells us to, “Fear not!” However, we aren’t called to overcome fear on our own. Like frightened children who run for their parents in a storm, we have a Father in heaven who loves to calm our fears. As you read through this week’s Kiss from Heaven and watch the video, accept the Father’s invitation. Hop up on His lap, let the Holy Spirit’s words cover and comfort you like a security blanket, and fall asleep like Jesus in the midst of the storm.
This Week’s Kiss
My Sweet Child,
Come and rest. Come and rest with Me. Hop up on my lap, lay your head on my shoulder, and let Me rock you to sleep.
You are safe in My arms, beloved. There’s nothing to fear. Just relax and allow my peace to envelop you. Breathe in My presence and exhale all of your worries and concerns. There’s nothing else you need to do.
Close your eyes and dream of far away, enchanted places. I am here with you.
As you sleep, I’ll sing over you – songs of deliverance, songs of destiny, and songs of joy. I’ll fan the flame of your heart’s deepest desires and arouse the dreamer in you. Then I’ll show you things to come – marvelous things, that will fill your heart with faith and hope.
I know exactly how to minister to you, My sweet one. I know exactly what you need.
I know the words you need to hear to set your mind at peace. I also know every lie you’ve been told, that needs to be replaced with truth. It’s no problem at all for Me to take on the things that have weighed you down.
I am a faithful Father who knows how to perfectly care for you.
Of course, I have the help of Holy Spirit, who also never leaves your side. He’s constantly busy working things out for your good and revealing My love for you.
Trust Me, your future is bright and glorious. Today’s troubles are nothing compared to what’s coming.
I’ve got loads and loads of good things up my sleeve. Which is why it’s okay to rest with Me. Besides, napping in My arms is spiritual warfare believe it or not. Remember how Jesus slept in the storm?
Faith always looks like rest, beloved. Rest and peace are what stills storms.
Kisses from Heaven,
Dad
