My Sweet One,
Today I’m interested in convincing you to use Jesus’ name with more confidence and authority.
I get that it feels strange to use His name as though it’s yours. But it’s one of the most powerful benefits of your union with Him.
Yes, you use Jesus’ name when you pray, but that’s almost a mindless habit. It’s not as though you are signing a check in His name or anything. In fact, based on how you currently see yourself, you might think signing a check in His name would be forgery and say, “I can’t do that. I’m not God.”
But child, your new birth is of divine origin.
You were born from above into My Royal family. In Christ, His name has become your name. You really are one in Spirit. Through Him, you have full access to the Royal treasury. You are a joint heir and join signer on the Royal accounts!
You absolutely can sign checks in Jesus’ name. And you should. You should cash in on all that belongs to you in Christ. Don’t just think about your inheritance theoretically, positionally, or mystically – as though it’s not to be experienced materially. Your inheritance in Christ is meant to be spent!
You have unlimited access to Kingdom resources.
In fact, through Christ I have become your unlimited Source and Supply. Think of all of the promises that grant you permission and authority to ask for whatever you need using Jesus’ name. Here are just a few…
John 14:13
You can ask for anything in My name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father.
John 15:7
If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
Matthew 21:22
And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.
Mark 11:24
Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
So beloved, how about you start using His name as though it’s yours? Go ahead. Ask Me for something that will glorify Me. Sign some checks in Jesus’ name. Spend your inheritance. Receive what belongs to you!
Big Kisses,
Dad
