My Beloved Child,

I want you to rejoice at all times. Even when there’s nothing in the world you can think of to rejoice or be happy about. 

I want you to rejoice because of who you are, not what’s going on around you. You are My child. You live inside of My merry heart. This is the victory that overcomes the world! Think about it…

You know Me. You are Mine. We are One. 

You are more powerful than anything you might face. Your citizenship is in Heaven. You are a joint-heir with Jesus. You have been made righteous once and for all! You are loved beyond your wildest imagination. You are a new creation. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you. You have eternal life. I’ve made you more than a conqueror. 

I could go on and on and on… But, what’s important is that you go on and on.

I want you to make a decision to not let anything or anyone steal your joy. I want you to decide to be powerful. I want you to rejoice when you face negative things, unkind people, or seemingly impossible challenges. I want you to choose to look away from the things that are temporal and fleeting and make Me the anchor of your soul. I want you to choose your focus and to look at My face. 

I want you to see My smile, hear My voice, and laugh with Me.

I know this isn’t as easy as it sounds sometimes. Things happen and your feelings feel what your feelings feel. But, I did not design you to be led by your feelings. I designed you to be led by My Spirit. I am an eternal optimist. I always believe the best. Oh My child, how I long for you to experience the fullness of My joy. How I long for you to experience My pleasure and delight. How I long for you to abide in My merry heart and laugh with Me. My laughter is contagious, you know? Once you start laughing with Me, it’s hard to stop. 

So how about it My child? Want to laugh with Me until your sides ache? 

Want to help Me prove to the world that I’m a really fun Dad instead of an angry, distant one? How about we start a joy revolution? Then rejoice with Me my child! Let Me throw you in the air and catch you in My arms! Let Me tickle you until you can hardly breathe! Laugh with Me, My child! Laugh with Me!
