My Glorious Child,

Do you feel like the grass is always greener somewhere else, or that if you just kept up with the Joneses you would finally be happy?

First of all, when you compare yourself to others, that only steals your joy. You are perfect just as you are and right where you are. What I want you to know is that you don’t have to wait until you win the lottery, marry the perfect person, or land that dream job to begin feeling good. Feeling good is a decision you get to make. You have the ability, My child, to be happy in all the circumstances of life. You don’t have to like where you are at, but when you practice gratitude you get to shift your perspective.

Until you find true joy IN Me, where you are right now, how will you be happy somewhere else, or when you get to the “next” thing?

So many of My children are looking to things and other people to fulfill them and it is a never ending chase that only distracts from the glory of My Presence that is right here, right now! When you are present with Me you begin to discover that your life is no “ordinary life.” Even mundane tasks like washing the dishes or doing the laundry become moments of ecstatic worship and glory with Me. There is NEVER a dull moment in My Kingdom, honey. Jesus came to give you life and life super-abundantly. 

When you are so focused on what you don’t have, you can’t be aware of what you DO HAVE!

In Scripture, Solomon writes about catching those little foxes that spoil the garden of our intimacy. That is exactly what these distractions do. The cares of the world choke out My word in you. But the truth is, your life is full of My glory! You are completely one with Me!! But you don’t see it when you look at what you perceive to be wrong about your life. It is all about perception, which is why I want to renew your mind. Shift your gaze and affections back onto Me and I will show you things you hadn’t even dreamed of. 

You see, the Apostle Paul realized there was no separation from Me, which is why he could rejoice even in the midst of suffering! Happiness in the midst of trials!!!

Paul was running on My Presence! He wasn’t uniquely tough. He just realized that because I lived IN Him, he could be really happy all the time!. So give up on looking to external things to make you happy, child. Become aware of Christ IN you and feel the Holy Spirit in your day to day life. You don’t have to wait to feel good, remember?! I am the Happy God and My Gospel is not about suffering. It is the joyful good news that releases My bliss and makes us contagious. I am your life, beloved. My Son Jesus is your Joy and the Holy Spirit is your Comforter and Helper. Don’t miss out on Heaven’s Party! You are designed to carry the party. So go ahead, try it! Cheer up and realize how overflowing you are with Me.
