My Precious Child,

Do you know that I set you apart for Myself before you were even born? That’s right, the Gospel is the announcement that I picked you to be Mine!

To the Ephesian church, Paul wrote that I associated you in Christ before the fall of the world. That’s right! I predestined you to be holy and blameless before Me in love. This means that you are completely perfect in My sight and always have been. You don’t have to fix yourself, or try harder to change. In fact, if you could do that, Jesus wouldn’t have needed to come. No, I have called you beautiful and innocent since the beginning of time. Before the fall happened, I saw you wrapped in Christ. If you don’t believe Me, read Ephesians Chapter 1 and soak in Paul’s revelation. The Gospel he preached is the truth! You are fully and completely accepted in Christ. I wasn’t distracted from My love for you by sin. You were Mine before I formed the cosmos. Jesus is the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world, remember?

When the Gospel is preached correctly it is all about how I feel about you and what I have done for you. 

This is why I don’t want you focusing on yourself, your behavior, or your performance. You were always the apple of My eye. My love for you has always been settled and it is 100% unconditional. I didn’t love you or choose you because of how you act, but because you belong to Me. I chose you in Christ before We created anything, and that was always Our plan. It was always My desire to include you in Our Triune Life, and We, through Jesus, have eternally united you to Us. Jesus gave His life to wash you from a guilty conscience so that you could be in relationship with Us, without fault, without shame. 

Nothing can separate you from My love, child. You belong with Us. You’ve been born again into Our family. 

You don’t earn My love by believing all the right things. You don’t earn My love period. I marked you out for this glory because I am your Father and I never abandon a single one of My children. Jesus is the manifestation of My heart for mankind and Holy Spirit is the signet ring guaranteeing the fullness of your inheritance in Christ. I have pledged Myself for you and to you and I will never go back on My word. Don’t you see how the truth puts all the pressure on Me and nothing on you?! 

I make you lie down in green pastures and lead you by still waters, meaning, I cause you to relax and trust! 

You can take a load off here. My yoke is easy and My burden is so light. In the true Gospel, I am Father and you are child. I do all the providing, I pay all the bills, I meet all your needs, I even give you faith. All I ask of you is that you let Me love you. That you stop trying to be Me and just be My child. It is ok to fall apart, be a mess, struggle, and get scared and run into My arms. That’s what happens when you aren’t fully aware of what I’ve already done for you. I don’t need you to be perfect apart from Me. What’s needed is for you to let go of all that separated-from-Me performance nonsense and let Me kiss you until you get it. I was never mad at you. I was never disappointed in you. I am continually looking at Jesus and how He united Himself to you and made you perfectly innocent. 

The Gospel leaves you no reason to boast in yourself, but in My Son’s work on the Cross. You have a righteousness NOT your own, remember?

Phew! You can take a permanent rest from striving. You have My Son’s perfection now. None of this ever depended on you, your believing, your working, or even your repenting! I chose YOU in Christ. I loved you first. And, I didn’t even give you an opportunity to vote on the matter. Jesus didn’t ask your permission to die for you! Why would He when He was consumed by love? We were moved by compassion when mankind fell because We are Love. 

You will never be too messy for Us in your deception of being apart from Us. 

We understand the illusion of separation and see all of the fruit that springs from a root of independence for what it is – deception! But guess what? None of that changes the way We see you. We picked you, knowing the end from the beginning. We saw you perfected in Jesus before you saw yourself as sinful and separate. So, how about you stop working so hard and just let Us love you into believing we are One!
