Happy New Year Beloved!
Welcome to 2023! As we wrap up the first week of this new year, I want to encourage you. Remember when Jesus said, “All things are really possible if you can believe?”
Well, not only is that true, but this year I want to stretch you into believing that all things are possible in ANY AMOUNT OF TIME! Some of you have felt discouraged coming into the new year. Things didn’t turn out the way you had hoped and “believed” they would last year. Some of the goals that you set for yourself didn’t come to fruition. Many of the things you hoped would change, didn’t budge an inch. In fact, for some of you, the issue seemed to grow worse. But, I am here to tell you that none of that matters. It’s not about how long it takes for Us to accomplish the things I’ve called you to accomplish, what matters is what you believe.
For most, the reason things take longer than expected is simply a belief problem.
Wrong belief, or “unbelief,” always causes a delay in the manifestation. And one of the biggest areas of unbelief is believing a lie about yourself. Instead of abiding in your true identity in Christ, you switch back and forth between the old man and the new one. You forget Our oneness. You forget your perfection. You forget your innocence. You forget your righteousness. And you believe that achieving goals depends entirely on you instead of relying on Me to accomplish them through you. This is why failure, from your perspective, is actually a gift in disguise. Number one, failure is never a problem for Me. In fact, failure is a necessary part of learning. Peter failed to perfectly walk on water, but so what?!? At least he believed it was possible for him.
What if failure isn’t failure? What if failure is a teacher?!? What if failure is a revealer of your level of belief in what is possible?!?
A better way to process what “failure” is, is to ask questions. Ask Me, “What do I need to learn from this? What are You teaching me right now? What is the revelation of You and who I am in Christ that I need to glean from this?” And here’s an even better question, “If I truly believed that the Father and I are one, what does this failure mean about me?” How We answer these questions together is really important. I am training you in righteousness, child. I am training you to be bold and brave and to stand in who you are in Christ and who I have created you to be – regardless of how things look, regardless of how many times you “fail” or how long it takes for you to believe that you are who I say you are and you can do all that I’ve destined for you.
It’s easy to believe you are righteous when everything is going right. But the question is what will you believe when it looks like everything is going wrong?
Fulfilling what I’ve called you to do is not dependent on you doing everything right, it’s dependent on you depending on Me. No independence, which means living in union with Me, following My instructions, and allowing Me to work through you is the key to fruitfulness. Your destiny is not something that you can make happen. Even if it was, what would be the point? Human success doesn’t produce eternal success. Remember child, you only get credit in Heaven for the things I do through you. So instead of coming into the new year carrying the baggage of how things went last year, do yourself and Me a favor. Head into 2023 with a clean slate. Forget the things that lie behind and press towards the mark of your highest calling in Christ. Make this year the best year of your life yet by remembering the most important lesson of all – WE ARE ONE!
In order to be truly successful in life, you must live out of your true identity and abide in Me.
Separation and identifying with a self-image that was crucified with Christ will never lead to the fulfillment of your destiny. Accusing yourself or accusing Me won’t change a thing. Abiding is the only way. Apart from Me you cannot do it. My grace, My favor, My power, My faith, My glory flowing through is how We accomplish all that I have destined you to do. So instead of setting goals that you want to accomplish this year, set one. Make abiding your only goal. And as you abide in your true identity and depend fully on Me, not only will you set and achieve My goals, the things that We accomplish together and the success We achieve, will not define you. Who you are will be completely rooted and grounded in who you are in Me. This is the lesson that I’ve been teaching you. And honestly, it doesn’t matter where you are today. Because all things are possible in any amount of time, when you are fully dependent on Me.
So really, there’s only one “New Year’s Resolution” to make this a year – Do nothing apart from Me.
Kisses from Heaven,
Dad
