My Precious Child,

Come to Me when you are overburdened, worried, and feeling stuck. I want to show you how to live freely and lightly.

I will show you how to transcend your mind and harness the power of true self-control. My son Solomon wrote in Proverbs, “a man without self-control is like a city broken into and left without walls.” In other words, it’s chaos. The old man and its unrenewed mind and old programming try to rule to roost. It will think all kinds of fear-filled, worry-driven thoughts about all kinds of things. But beloved, the flesh profits nothing. Living in the Spirit, being led by the Spirit, and abiding in union with Me lifts you out of your natural mind and enables you to rise above the limitations of the natural realm.

The fruit of self-control is commonly misunderstood. A lot of people think it is about exercising their human will, developing good habits, and striving to do the ‘right thing’ on their own. 

But, self-control isn’t about disciplining your flesh, striving, or pushing through resistance to accomplish things on your own. It’s about controlling which “self” is in control. Think about that. Who’s in control right now? The natural man or the new man? What’s driving you? Worry, fear, your todo list, or Me? What’s motivating you? A neverending list of ‘shoulds’ and ‘should nots,’ or My Spirit? Remember, beloved, we are One. You are My temple. I really do live inside of you. Life is not found in accomplishing anything apart from Me. Your todo list, no matter how good it appears to be, isn’t necessarily Mine. You aren’t meant to be governed by rules, you’re meant to be governed by the Spirit.

You’re first and foremost a spirit who is designed to operate and be led by the Spirit. And when I say Spirit, I mean Our Spirit. Your spirit is entangled with Mine. 

This means you are limitless. My strength and power is your strength and power. The key to operating in this reality isn’t controlling a self that you perceive is separate from Me. It’s surrendering the illusion of that self to Me! Self-control is about relinquishing control. It’s informing the old ego-centric self that it’s no longer in control. Surrendering your body, your mind, your will, your imagination, your emotions, your thoughts, your schedule, your todo list, and anything and everything that the old-ego-man might think it owns, is how you’ll find freedom. 

Catching the ego-centric, separated self in the act of running the show isn’t always easy. The old is familiar.

But come to Me, child. In other words, acknowledge Me and My presence. I’ll wake you up and help you shift your awareness. I’ll give the revelation you need to form a whole new paradigm for living. It is vital for you to know who you really are and where We are going. Do not fear child, I am with you every step of this journey. I will be your defense against ego-driven self-control and teach you to have true Self-Control! Together we will tread over all the power of the “fallen mindset.” My grace will cause you to reign in life!

Become acquainted with stillness and silence. Wait intently, listening for Holy Spirit’s whispers and surrender it all to Me!

In the quiet you will hear Me and you’ll experience Our union. It is here in this place of stillness you will become aware of My Presence. Slow down. This process cannot be rushed, beloved. At times you will be tempted to get frustrated and quit. Nothing strange is happening, it’s just the ego-self trying to rule the roost again. But don’t get upset, just observe those thoughts and let them go. Return your focus again to Me. Staying awake and remaining conscious of our Union is what contemplation and abiding are all about. This is how you practice Self-Control. It will help you abide in your right Self, your true Self, and stay connected to My mind.

As you practice My presence, you will experience the power of the Gospel as glorious explosions detonating in your mind and heart. 

So, if you want to know what’s on My to do list for you, it’s this. When you wake up in the morning, spend a few minutes actually waking up! Before the old man can take control of your day, elevate above it. Recognize that there are two alternative ways to go through your day, and take control of your day by surrendering it to Me. Step into union and enjoy My presence. Connect with My voice and let My words fill your thoughts. I’ll show you what’s on Our agenda for the day and you’ll hit the ground running in the Spirit. I want you to be intentional about this beloved, and stay out of autopilot. As you do, We’ll take care of the practical daily tasks together. And instead of feeling rushed, worried, and dreadful, We’ll have fun doing things together that would normally feel mundane.
